Carter Commission After 50 Years

  1. Is the Ajay Mehrotra Paper; The VAT Laggards available publically any place. Interesting topic that I suspect has to be viewed differently today than it was three years ago or even just a year ago(On the Canadian side Americans of both political stripes are pretty die hard in their hatreds of VATs).

    There was a pretty good article in Canadian Tax Journal a few quarters back on this:

  2. Prof. Mehrotra says it's not ready yet. When it is, I'll be sure to post it here. It will be an interesting paper to read, was a very good presentation.
